After the adult quartet collected their prize from the teenagers at the hopscotch booth (they very much didn’t question where they got the goods and just wanted away from them), they left and sped off to get as far away from the kids. However, it appears that luck wasn’t on their side as the next booth they stumbled upon was… a child’s booth being run by an adult? Was there truly no peace to be found at this festival anymore? And before they could slip away, the very-clearly-an-adult booth owner called out to them, “Hey, you guys there! Yes, I’m talking to the group with the god covered in glitter. Come on over here, I promise you’ll like this booth! It’s real easy.” Oh, come on. They really can’t catch a break. The quartet shuffles reluctantly over to the booth with the booth owner grinning madly at them. He then spreads out his arms and says, “Simple, right? Pick a card and you can win a prize. That’s all there is to it.” Babycake immediately backed out; “Uhm, it’s not that I
Mancala was an overwhelming failure for Taro, although it was funny for the rest of the group to watch him get demolished in that game. However, the adult group—Taro, Barron, Babycake, and Pancake—couldn’t stay at that booth any longer, so they moved on to find something else. As they were just trying to walk around and browse the booths for something to do (and maybe to go find somewhere to go eat some good food to eat. But that was when they heard it. A sound. Getting louder. And it was… a teenage terralin was yelling at them? “Hey! Hey you four! I can tell you guys have at least 50 stars on you, c’mere!” Taro and Babycake were prepared to do the adult thing, which would be to ignore the teenager, but Barron and Pancake seemed to not have the same restraint as them as they both turned. And that was when the former two knew they were about to get roped into some shenanigans. “Ah, I saw you look! Come on, come onnn! I swear this will be the coolest game and booth you’ll see in
After collecting their prizes and saying goodbye to the ring toss booth owner, the quartet of teens—Ren, Lucien, Luca, and Helene—head off for their next conquest. And it appears that luck was on their side right now as they (read: Helene) smelled something… delicious? It smelt like baked goods. Chocolate, velvet, strawberry, and other flavors! Oh… it smelt amazing! Helene excitedly turned to her friends and said, “We have to go to wherever that smell is coming from! I can just tell it’ll be good. And if it’s not a booth, we’ll at least get to buy some food! Come on, come on!” Helene grabbed Lucien’s arm and dragged her off while Ren and Luca lagged behind the two again. Once Helene was done speeding towards where the scent was coming from, she made a sudden stop and let out a small, excited gasp. It was a cake walk! She hadn’t participated in one of these since she was a little Aeroling! “Luci, Luci, Luci!! It’s a cake walk! We could win some cake!” And with that, the booth owner

While the adults were all off at the mancala booth being boring the four teens that were being chaperoned by them, Ren, Lucien, Luca, and Helene headed off for greater pastures. And by that, I mean they went to go find a fun booth that didn’t involve a lot of strategy and thinking like mancala did. And they found one that’s perfect for them! A ring toss booth! Sure, the booth owner did not look like he was dressed appropriately for the occasion in their eyes, but that didn’t matter (it did to Ren, but his friends would just ignore his complaining). What did matter was that they stumbled upon a fun booth and that meant it was time to enjoy themselves at the festival. Helene was the first to reach the booth, enthusiastically leaning in and smiling at the booth owner while the other three lagged behind a bit. “Hiya mister booth owner! Good night to be running a ring toss booth, eh?” Helene was a bit too enthusiastic to be throwing rings onto pegs, but whatever. Lucien was the first to
When Babycake, Barron, Pancake, and Taro all decided to take a break and go to the Summer Star Festival, they sure as hell didn't expect to babysit some teenagers as well. ...Well, all of them except for Barron, who's had to chaperone Ren, Luci, and any of their friends who came along as well for the past few years now. But luckily for the adults, they managed to get themselves away from the children by going to a "boring" booth a.k.a the mancala booth. Sure, the booth runners were Aerolings, but the group (especially Barron) knew that their Aeroling companions wouldn't want anything to do with mancala. And, to be fair, Barron and Pancake weren't all that interested in macala either, but getting away from the munchkins was much more important to them than whatever the booth is about. They decided to just stand around near the entrance and talk with each other, planning out what they'll do next and when they should go check on the kids. And then there's Babycake. Babycake stands back nervously, being a God meant that she... she definitely wouldn't fit inside the small tent. And seeing how small those stools are? Yeah. There's no way she's gonna be able to do the booth. Which was a shame, she actually did want to play mancala, but then she thought about having to sit on one of those stools and banishes the thought from her mind. She'll just go talk with the other two. Which left one person who was able and willing: Taro. They weren't too tall and could actually enter the booth and while sitting on the stool definitely wouldn't be comfortable, it would be doable. So, Taro calmly walked up to Darling and smiled. "It looks like I'm the only one in my group who's interested in mancala today." Taro then pauses and continues on to say, "So, let's give this a try, yeah? I've not played in ages, but we'll see how this goes for me."
